Why post-construction dust is its own kind of cleaning

Construction and renovation leave behind a very specific problem: fine dust. Sanding drywall, cutting tile, sawing wood, and installing fixtures throw microscopic particles into the air that settle everywhere, on every surface, in every corner, and inside every crevice. It is not the same as ordinary household dirt, and cleaning it with an ordinary approach mostly just moves it around. Post-construction cleaning is designed specifically to capture and remove it.

The work is methodical because the dust is everywhere. We clear it from walls, ledges, and high surfaces where it clings, clean interior windows, sills, and frames that construction coats heavily, and detail fixtures, switches, and hardware where fine particles gather. Cabinet exteriors are wiped down, and cabinet interiors are available as an add-on for spaces about to be stocked and used.

Renovations also leave the small, stubborn traces of the work itself: adhesive labels and stickers on new windows and appliances, and light debris in corners and along edges. Removing these is part of turning a finished-but-messy space into one that genuinely looks and feels complete. Where debris bagging is offered as an add-on, we can gather and bag light debris so the space is ready for use.

Floors deserve particular attention after construction, since grit and fine dust settle into them and can scratch or dull new surfaces if not cleared properly. Thorough vacuuming and mopping removes that abrasive layer, which both improves how the floor looks and helps protect a new finish from the first day it is in use.

It is important to be clear about scope. This is fine-dust and light-debris cleanup to make a finished space usable. It is not hazardous-material handling, and we are not a licensed construction-debris hauling service, so heavy rubble and regulated materials are outside what we do. Once the construction work is genuinely finished and the space is clear of tools and materials, we handle the clean that gets it ready for people.

Scope, exclusions, and site readiness

It is explicitly not hazardous-material handling, and we are not a licensed construction-debris hauling service, so regulated materials, heavy rubble, and demolition waste are outside our scope. We also do not perform repairs, paint touch-ups, or exterior work. The service begins where the construction work ends.

Site readiness makes the difference. Post-construction cleaning should be scheduled only once the work is genuinely complete and tools, materials, and heavy debris have been removed, so new dust is not generated over what we have cleaned. Ensure power and water are available, and point out any delicate new finishes to protect. Let us know in advance if debris bagging is needed as an add-on.
